OUTDOOR FILM EXPERIENCE PRESENTS

"CANADIAN COMEDY, EH?"

AT THE PUBLIC GARDENS

THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS,
AND TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO THE
2017 OUTDOOR FILM EXPERIENCE.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!

JUNE - AUGUST 2017

The 18th annual Outdoor Film Experience is thrilled to be presenting at the historic Public Gardens this year! Along with our nation’s sesquicentennial anniversary, it is also the 150th birthday of the Public Gardens, and what better way to celebrate than with Canadian Comedy, Eh? Once a month this summer, we'll be projecting a Canadian comedy favourite on our 30-foot inflatable screen at the beautiful Public Gardens through June, July and August.

This year, the Outdoor Film Experience is honoured to partner with our friends at Feed Nova Scotia for the first time. As we’ve always been proud to say, these screenings are free for our community, but this year we’d like to give a little more. We ask that any of our patrons that are able to, to please bring a food donation.

In addition, we are excited to return to two of our beloved OFE venues around HRM! We have a Tall Ships-themed screening on the Halifax Waterfront’s Tall Ships Quay (near the Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market) hosted by the Halifax Seaport and Waterfront Development, and two screenings at the Pondside Amphitheatre at Dartmouth Crossing, sponsored by The Village Shops at Dartmouth Crossing.

Unfortunately, outdoor film screenings are sometimes cancelled due to rain or excessive wind but every effort is made, according to current and forecasted weather conditions, to make each screening happen.

Screening cancellations will be announced by 5PM, the day of the screening, here on our website as well as our FacebookTwitter and Instagram accounts. We will also do our best to let local media outlets know so that they can get the message out to the public. Weather updates and cancellations can also be heard by tuning into 101.3 Virgin Radio. Unless communicated, cancelled films will not be re-scheduled.
